...and the Perks

You never know what will happen at my house. Which, I have to admit, I kind of adore. Mainly because my life is so hectic that I don't have time to shave my legs, let alone have a social life. It's always a plus that I can come home and be entertained.

For instance, I came home a few weeks ago and smelled fire. This wasn't the "oh-crap-what-did-they-toss-over-the-wall" kind of fire. No. This was the sit-outside-with-a-scarf-and-hot-chocolate-bonfire kind of fire. One of the first cold nights of the season, and my roommates made a bonfire in a wheelbarrow in our backyard. Everything about this was yummy. Especially the hot chocolate.

Granted, the wood that stoked said fire was from a table that they threw off of the roof the night before, but hey - at least they're cleaning up their messes.

...and the Plan

Our house has a good-sized back yard that backs up to a busy street. The guys spend some quality time out there with the grill, solving life's problems. But sometimes the topic changes. A few hours ago I heard them talking about how they should throw the tank of propane over the wall. You know, for fun... cuz why wouldn't that be fun? The plan went through several stages, but they settled that the best way was to fill the propane tank with nails first, then toss it over the wall, then ignite it by climbing on the roof and shooting it with a .22.

We live about 100 feet (literally) from a fire station.

At first I just rolled my eyes at their clearly well-thought-out plan... But then I realized that firemen would be involved.

There's always a bright side.

...and the Roommate Dichotomy

6 weeks ago I started my MBA.

Also, 6 weeks ago, I started a new job.

Those, I can handle.

But, 3 weeks ago, I moved in with 3 men.

And thus begins the escapades of my life...

I should preface this blog by clarifying two things: First of all, those aren't my legs in that picture. Secondly, one of the guys is my brother, in case anyone is getting ideas of rampant stupidity. That being said, these are some snippets of my world - the good, the bad, and the smelly. One thing's for sure - it's bound to be interesting.
